About ABPA
The American Book Producers Association (ABPA) is the trade association for independent book producers and packagers in the United States and Canada. Founded in 1980, the ABPA represents professionals who handle every stage of the publishing process – from concept development, writing, editing, and design through prepress and print – delivering finished projects to publishers, corporations, and nonprofits. Book producers specialize in complex, highly crafted titles: cookbooks, illustrated books, reference works, textbooks, and multi-author projects. The ABPA supports and promotes this work through community, education, and industry advocacy.
